It is often said that everything tastes better with wine, and we certainly agree. Although festival season is gradually wrapping up, we celebrate one of the classiest, most creative and care free ways to enjoy the outdoors. So mark your calenders for the next round of time worthy food & wine events.

The South African Wine & Food Festival

South Africa’s rich viniculture lives on at the Grayhaven Winery in Virginia, USA, where thousands of visitors  gather each year to experience South African cuisine, wine, food and music during a two day outdoor festival.  Grayhaven currently serves as one of a handful of Pinotage (a uniquely South African grape variety) growers and producers in the United States, and so visitors are guaranteed a special experience.

Barbados Food, Wine & Rum Festival

There is everything to love about this festival, from high -profile international and bajan chefs to just simply being in Barbados. The guided wine and food tour, meant to enlighten you on the perfect epicurean pairings, is also worth every bit of your money. And of course we can’t forget about the rum! FNB Wine Festival Mozambique

The FNB Wine Festival in Mozambique has always maintained its aim – to create a understanding and develop a cultural appreciation for some of the world’s finest wines. The three day festival draws in thousands of visitors each year, including locals, tourists and industry professionals, who are interested in fun and culture Mozambican style!

Taste of Durban

More than just a wine experience, Taste of Durban offers an interactive event that brings together visitors and featured chefs, as they continually discover exciting ways to pair dishes served with a wide range of fine wines. Also not to miss are the range of exhibitors, who feature sample selections of drink and food brands.

Accra Food and Wine Festival

It is only in its first year, but it has already become a highly celebrated event in the city of Accra. Hosted in collaboration with Alliance Française d’Accra, Accra Premium’s three day Food and Wine celebration offered visitors boutique samplings from some of the finest international restaurants, wine, spirits and fresh food companies in Ghana. Guests also enjoyed a day of gourmet food tasting and live chef demonstrations, which took place at the Novotel Hotel Accra City Center. What will next year’s festival bring? We certainly can’t wait to find out!

The Cape Town Good Food & Wine Show

This three day culinary event attracts highly rated chefs, celebrities and winemakers around the world, and currently remains the premier food lifestyle show in South Africa. Highlights include the celebrity chefs theatre which features an exclusive mix of global talent – Sanjeev Kapoor, Hayden Quinn, Siba Mtongana , Reza Mahammad and Lentswe Bhengu are some who have been included in the lineup.

Soweto Wine Festival

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Soweto Wine Festival, an annual event with a history of township flair.  The inaugural event was attended by 1500 guests and has grown to attract a crowd of over 8,000 individuals over the years. Participating guests receive a free tasting glass to taste over 1 000 of South Africa’s finest wines along with a festival buyer’s guide, access to a wide range of food exhibits and a passport to local tourist destinations in South Africa.
