With absolutely zero reference to the continent itself, Dark Amarula is a twist on the popular South African creamy liqueur. Amarula is made from the exotic Marula fruit, which is found in many parts of Southern Africa and is rich in vitamin C, protein and antioxidants. Dark Amarula is fairly easy to make and is the perfect drink for any stylish occasion.
50 ml *Amarula cream
25 ml Espresso [Dark Roast]
1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon or Nutmeg
How to prepare
- Mix the espresso and vanilla extract together and pour into a glass
- Slowly pour in the Amarula cream, so that a visible layer exists
- Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg
Dark Amarula is best served chilled or on the rocks
*Nothing beats authentic Amarula, but if in a bind, Baileys will do!
